hi.

Welcome to the OFFICIAL home page of the Undergraduate Philosophy Club at Ohio State. Ignore all the imitations, and have a look around.

This club is dedicated to enhancing the intellectual environment of Ohio State University, by providing students with a forum to engage with challenging philosophical subject matter on a weekly basis, in a setting which is always lively and friendly. Our meetings generally consist of talks by professors and graduate students on topics including but not limited to ethics, metaphysics, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, logic, linguistics, and cognitive science. We also hold a conference every year, and if you are interested in attending or presenting, you should click on the link at the top of this page for more information.

All are welcome at the meetings, simply come on in to room 347 of University Hall at 6:00 PM on any Wednesday night while classes are in session. There is no reason not to! It's too late for class and too early to drink. If you would like to be added to our listserve, e-mail the president, Max and make your request. You will receive one e-mail a week with a brief description of the week's topic, and there will of course be no obligation to attend.

Feel free to browse around the site to learn more about us, and if you are so inclined, be sure to stop in and visit us some time!
